What Is Aquaponics?

Aquaponics is a sustainable food production system that combines a traditional aquaculture (raising aquatic animals such as fish, crayfish or prawns in tanks) with hydroponics (cultivating plants in water).

Does Aquaponics use more water than traditional farming methods?

No.  Growing with an aquaponics system actually uses about 90% less water than traditional farming methods.  With our World's current water shortage, aquaponics is a great sustainable gardening method.
